FAMILY ASSISTANT (NANNY/HOUSEKEEPER/PA)

We are looking for a proactive, caring, and experienced all-rounder to support a busy working family in Elanora as a Family Assistant looking for a long term position. This dynamic role is ideal for someone local to Elanora who would like to become an integral part of a warm and welcoming family and enjoys variety in their work life.  This role has the possibility for someone that is looking for a either a Part Time OR Full-Time role and would like to incorporate additional administration duties, giving you a wonderful, varied role.

The ideal candidate will assist with the daily household duties (additional cleaner already employed) and care of two school aged boys, aged 13 and 7. Whilst both boys are very independent, experience with SPD & ADHD would be highly advantageous.

You will ideally have a love for cooking as meal prepping would be required, have exceptional organisational skills and have an eye for detail, be nurturing, warm and caring and also have a passion for working in a happy environment and helping others.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the household, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency.
  • Engaging in fun, creative activities especially with the youngest child.
  • Driving children to their after-school activities
  • Meal preparation to include breakfast, school lunches, snacks and dinner
  • Maintaining after school routine with the children
  • Ensuring the family calendar is updated with school notices and upcoming activities.
  • General household management to include managing tradespeople, unpacking groceries, deliveries any other ad hoc duties to ensure smooth running of the household.
  • Light household duties to include making beds, vacuuming, mopping when required, stocktake of household products, washing, folding and ironing.
  • Organising wardrobes, cupboards, pantry and toy areas to maintain a neat and tidy environment
  • Running occasional errands
  • PA and business administration duties such as booking travel, liaising with staff and clients, diary management, filing, scanning, booking appointments.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar childcare role
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks, use initiative, be proactive and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Strong communication skills and able to interact effectively with all members of the family and office.
  • Caring and compassionate nature with a can-do attitude.
  • Trustworthy, reliable and honest
  • Administration / PA experience is highly desirable
  • Live within close proximity to Elanora
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and a reliable car.
  • Excellent contactable references
  • WWCC – (Blue Card)
  • National Police Check
  • Candidates must have full working rights in Australia.
